Elizabeth Thein, LPCC
Elizabeth Thein is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Empowered Mental Health who specializes in helping teens and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse recovery, relationship challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. She believes healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship and works to create a supportive environment where clients feel valued and understood.
Elizabeth works with adolescents ages 12 and older and adults who are experiencing emotional distress, past trauma, self-esteem concerns, and challenges affecting overall well-being. She tailors treatment to each client’s goals, strengths, and experiences.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary in 2021 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023. Since moving to Bismarck from Minnesota she has become involved in the community through volunteer work and values building meaningful connections inside and outside the therapy room.
Elizabeth primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has specialized training in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. These approaches help clients process difficult experiences, reduce distress, develop healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater confidence.
