Therapy for Adults in Bismarck
Anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, grief, and the weight of holding everything together. Our full team works with adults, in the office and by telehealth across North Dakota.
You do not have to be in crisis to come in
Most of the adults we see are functioning. They go to work, raise kids, show up for people. They are also exhausted, or anxious in a way that never quite lets go, or carrying something from years ago that has started to surface.
Therapy is not reserved for the moment everything falls apart. It works better before that.
What we help with
- Anxiety, panic, and chronic worry
- Depression and burnout
- Trauma and PTSD, including experiences from childhood
- Grief and loss
- Stress, life transitions, and career pressure
- Relationship and family strain
- Self worth, boundaries, and patterns that keep repeating
The approaches we use
We match the approach to the person rather than the other way around. That includes EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma, CBT for thought and behavior patterns, and family and marital therapy when the difficulty lives between people rather than inside one of them.
Your therapist will explain what they are recommending and why, and you get a say in it.
Who you would see
Every clinician on our team works with adults. Talia Biederstedt, Emma Pelach, Tim Gienger, Mariah Banse, Elizabeth Thein, and Kaydee Baker all see adult clients. Their backgrounds and specialties are on the team page, and you can request a specific therapist when you reach out.
In person or by telehealth
Our office is at 101 Slate Dr Ste 7 in Bismarck, a few minutes from Mandan. Telehealth is available anywhere in North Dakota, which matters if you are rural, working odd hours, or would simply rather not sit in a waiting room.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I need therapy?
If something has been bothering you long enough that you are reading this page, that is usually answer enough. A first session costs you an hour and tells you a lot.
What happens in the first session?
Mostly conversation. Your therapist will ask what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. You will leave with a sense of the plan.
Do you offer evening appointments?
We have Thursday hours until 6:30 PM and Monday evening hours from 4 to 5:30 PM. Call and we will find something that works.
Can I choose my therapist?
Yes. Read the team page, tell us who you would like, and we will check their availability. If the fit is not right after a few sessions, say so and we will help you switch.
Is telehealth as effective as in person?
For most adult concerns the research says yes. Some work, particularly certain trauma approaches, goes better in the room. Your therapist will tell you honestly which applies to you.
Ready when you are.
Taking the first step is often the hardest part. A short conversation, at no charge, is usually enough to know whether we are a fit. In person in Bismarck, or by telehealth anywhere in North Dakota.
